Ivan Šverko is a Croatian classical accordionist dedicated to pushing the interpretative boundaries of his instrument. His repertoire spans from Baroque masterpieces - with a particular focus on the works of Johann Sebastian Bach - to contemporary literature written for the classical accordion. He has collaborated with distinguished instrumentalists, composers, orchestras and conductors, performing at prominent festivals across Croatia and internationally. His approach seeks to reconcile tactile virtuosity with the expressive warmth, cantabile phrasing and nuanced breath of which the instrument is capable.
